Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data OwnerHandbook (“we”, “us”) processes when you use ownerhandbook.com, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Who is responsible

OwnerHandbook is run by Dani García, who is responsible for the processing of personal data on this site. Contact: hello@ownerhandbook.com.

What we collect

  • Technical request data. Like every website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type and the page you request so it can deliver the page and protect the site from attacks.
  • Anonymous usage statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views, referring sites, countries and page-load performance. It does not use cookies, does not store your IP address and does not track you across sites.
  • Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message.

We do not have accounts, comments, a newsletter or contact forms, and we do not show advertising at this time. Calculator inputs are processed in your browser and are never sent to us.

  • To deliver and secure the website (legitimate interest in running a safe, working site).
  • To understand which pages are useful, using anonymous statistics (legitimate interest; no personal profile is created).
  • To answer your messages (legitimate interest, or steps you ask us to take).

Service providers

  • Cloudflare, Inc. hosts and delivers the site, protects it against attacks and provides the anonymous analytics. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
  • Email provider. Messages sent to our address are stored by the email service we use to receive them.

We do not sell or share personal data for advertising.

Cookies

We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell people and automated attacks apart. Details are in our cookie policy.

Retention

Anonymous statistics are kept in aggregate by Cloudflare. Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@ownerhandbook.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

Cloudflare operates a global network, so data may be processed outside your country. Cloudflare relies on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

If we add advertising, affiliate links, a newsletter or forms, we will update this policy before they go live and change the date above.
